Ever wondered what a day in the life of a female digital nomad looks like? Here’s what happens in my life as a digital nomad in Chiang Mai.
I’ve been living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for just over 3 weeks now. Chiang Mai is a kind of digital nomad hub and for good reason: you can afford a great quality of life for very little money compared to many European and American cities, the weather is great and the culture supports a healthy lifestyle.
Join me for a full day in my life in Chiang Mai. We start with breakfast on the balcony of my apartment in the western side of Chiang Mai, before heading to a coworking space in MAYA mall. After a few hours of work, it’s time to hit the gym. I go to Maxx Fitness, which isn’t the cheapest gym in Chiang Mai but worth every penny – and certainly more than I could afford in London!
Then it’s time for lunch. We eat lunch at MAYA mall every day because the street food stalls are affordable, authentic and delicious. In the afternoon, I usually take some down time to chill in the apartment or go for a swim in our rooftop pool. On this day, I also went for my weekly massage at a nearby massage parlour. The place I visit is possibly the best massage in Chiang Mai and a 1-hour Thai massage only costs 200Baht (around £4 or $5).
We end the day with a trip to some of Chiang Mai temples and the north gate food market, where I talk a little about digital nomad life in Chiang Mai.
